What's all the buzz about?
It seems these days, more and more companies are looking to move their products and sales to an online environment. What is there to gain, why are so many of these companies seeing exponential growth and how should you go about getting your products and sales online?
Well, for a start, the amount of time that customers and people in general have to spend to shop, browse and find is becoming ever increasingly shorter. So it comes as no surprise, then, that moving the sales of your product to an online environment seems like the smart thing to do - and it is. Not only do you give your prospective customers the opportunity to browse your entire product line without leaving their desk or home, but you give them the entire sense of your brand and direction.
If you're lucky enough to have a customer visit your website in the interest of buying your product or service, you have less than five seconds to secure their interest before they move on to the next company - your competitor.
So many companies are seeing such exponential growth in their sales because the online environment is taking out the phyisical limitations of business. Most products when purchased online are delivered to your doorstep and this only adds to the value that the customer gets.
According to research conducted by AC Nielson, in September 2006 5.9 million Australians were shopping online, making us the third-largest online spenders behind the UK and the US. Over half of these online shoppers (51 percent) came back for more and average shopper spending was up 19 percent to $1,900 per annum - Want to be part of this cashflow?.
